Let me tell you about my monday morning, today: 5:50am, already 5 minutes late to my sprint to the bus, I go to pour my coffee into a travel mug - only to find 3 dirty travel mugs and 15 clean coffee mugs. So, yeah, that's about 15 situations in which a Mug Hug would have come in handy. It would be WONDERFUL if I got my hands, er, mugs on some hugs!

My husband and I both have the tendency to just leave the house with the coffee mug we've been sipping from all morning instead of transferring the contents over to a travel mug. Having a mug hug stationed by the front door sure would make driving with our coffee much easier!

The Mug Hug would be SO helpful at work! I work in a classroom with special education students, and I'm constantly moving around the room, and also to/from different parts of the building, and being able to use my favorite mug @ school is tricky when it doesn't have a lid!

1. How will I know if Mug Hug™ will fit on my mugs?

Mug Hug fits on many Medium sized mugs at most Canadian & US big box retailers and marts. In general, Mug Hug original fits 60% of the mugs we studied at the major Canadian and US nationwide retailers. The optimal diameter for fitment is 89mm with approximately a 5mm range highly depending on the rim dimensions. The simplest way to find out is to check the mugs in your cabinet, because chances are it will fit several of the mugs you already own. Finally, if you can't find a mug that fits, send us an email and we'll give you many recommendations for the retailer closest to you.

2. Does Mug Hug™ really seal against a ceramic mug?

Yes, and very well for many mugs. The flexible nature of the rubber allows easy stretching over the mug to create a tension fit to seal. We created a video to demonstrate the sealing ability for a couple mugs that are a good fit with Mug Hug™. This video was conducted with cold water to show the limits of Mug Hug™. Never do this at home especially with harmful, hot liquids.

3. What can I do to remove coffee stains from my white Mug Hug™?

Yes, coffee can stain white lids (mostly the underside) similar to how coffee stains teeth. Although boiling the lid with water and lemon juice for about 10-15 minutes has been suggested, we have found the most effective way is to use toothpaste and a toothbrush! We recommend letting the stained portion soak with toothpaste overnight and then clean the stain with a motorized electric toothbrush. Rinse and dry... Alternatively, our brown lids might be a better match for coffee drinkers.
